On February 1, his wife left for work in Rochester. She did not come home. She was detained and transferred to a facility in Texas. Since then, the family measures its days around phone calls they can afford to pay for. The baby no longer sleeps through the night. A fourteen-year-old attends school online because she is afraid. The blinds stay closed during the day. They left Honduras to escape violence. They believed they had found safety in Minnesota. This is what detention looks like inside a home.
